During my years at Kraft, I was asked to lead our region's mentoring program. I saw first-hand how a solid mentor can help navigate a career and help someone live up to their full potential.
Today, I'd like to say Happy Father's Day to a man who brings a whole new meaning to the word "Mentor". Not only is Chef John our incredible Executive Chef, he goes above and beyond to make sure each Ready To Work intern has the best growing experience at Community Table Kitchen and beyond.
It doesn't matter what an intern's story was. Chef welcomes each new employee with a fresh start and provides culinary arts training through encouragement and accountability. It's not a surprise that this revolutionary program ends homelessness 75% of the time. Reaching that kind of graduation rate takes amazing leaders, like Chef, who give it their all to help others get a foothold on a new life.
I can't think of a more dedicated mentor and I'm proud to call him my colleague. Happy Father's Day Chef! Thanks for being our inspiration!
